Slaughter  Beach, DE    If you've never been here, perhaps you've heard - Slaughter Beach is the large black drum capital of the world during the month of May.  Last year we saw hundreds, weights in  the 50-75 lb range.  The largest, brought in by Eddie Jones, weighed 80.7 lbs., (picture on left)  Our inlet is only 3.2 miles away from the big black drum.  Let Tom share his extensive knowledge with you.  Capt. Tom's dedication to fishing the DE Bay makes his store unique; he's more interested in putting fish in your box, not just bait in your boat.  He's eager to share his vast knowledge, and secrets of fishing the DE Bay; his personal knowldedge has changed the way most who talk to him, successfully fish the DE Bay.  The current state record is 115 lbs, caught in 1978.  Tom knows there will be state records out there all day long again this year.  Cedar Creek Bait and Tackle is holding a first ever black drum tournament in Delaware.  There will be 3 prizes, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will each receive cash prizes.  1st Place will be awarded $500.00, 2nd Place will be awarded $300.00, and 3rd Place will receive $200.00.  Winners determined by weight.  Entry fee is only $20.00 per angler.  Tournament will run from April 25 thru June 06.  More details are coming soon...
